FROM KOMBO OR BANJUL PROPER

Public Transport: Take a "town trip" taxi to Banjul ferry crossing. Take the ferry from Banjul to Barra (about 30 minutes). At the taxi park in Barra ask for the Njawara gelly gelly. This taxi will take you straight to Njawara and drop you in front of the main store. At the store, ask for NATC and someone will take you up the road to the Centre.

The Njawara taxi can sometimes take hours to fill up so it may be faster to take the Kerewan gelly gelly. If this is the best option, board the gelly gelly and offboard in Kerewan. Ask someone for the Njawara junction and they can lead you to a small shop where you can wait for a car heading to Njawara. This may be just as long as waiting for the Njawara taxi though as very few cars venture to Njawara so you may be waiting at the junction awhile.

Taking public transport to Njawara from Kombo can take anywhere from 4-8 hours.

Private Transport: If you are lucky enough to have your own vehicle, then you will drive to the Banjul ferry crossing. Take the ferry to Barra. Follow the cars off the ferry and turn right as soon as you exit the ferry terminal. Stay straight on this road until you reach a police check point. At the check point turn right and stay straight until you intersect with a paved road. Turn right on the paved road and stay on the road for about 50 km until you hit Kerewan. In Kerewan, ask someone for the Njawara junction (it is left off of the paved road). Travel on this dirt road for 13 km and you will drive straight into Njawara and The NATC is the very last thing on the road. If you can see the river and are on a very questionable path then you have just passed NATC.
